April 25, 2023 – Dr. Betchie E. Aguinaldo, director of Business Intelligence Research and Development Center (BIRD – C) is one of the resource speakers in Nueva Vizcaya’s ICT Congress 2023 held at Convention Center Capitol Compound, Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya hosted by Province of Nueva Vizcaya and Department of Information and Communications Technology.
Dr. Aguinaldo, presented the journey of BIRD – C and discussed the integrated systems developed by the research center funded by DOST R02, DOST PCIEERD and DOST PCHRD which includes β€œHEALTHGUARD piloted in Ilagan City, ODeSSEE, iCity:Digital Business Locator and IoT OL Trap and Community Dengue Early Warning System (CDEWS), piloted in Cauayan City.

The technologies developed and pilot tested in Cauayan City are aligned toward so United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN – SDG) towards smart and sustainable communities. The presentation also highlighted the value of SDG 17 – Partnership for Goals as an instrument to collaborate with partner agencies, academe institutions, government agencies, public and private stakeholders to strengthen in different resources management which will address the need of the municipalities in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya. Establishing strong ICT infrastructure bring more investors and create industry platform to open jobs for the people of Nueva Vizcaya.
